The Short Case Theatre Company is an initiative of the Ashintosh Foundation. It provides a creative outlet for Medical Students and Junior Doctors with an interest in the performing arts.
Short Case Theatre produces and stages plays in Brisbane entirely directed and cast by junior doctors with the proceeds going to the University of Queensland Medical Society’s charity the Ashintosh Foundation.

The debut production of the Short Case Theatre Company will be an adaptation of the Nick Earls’ Novel, ‘World of Chickens’, to be held at the Metro Arts Theatre on Edward Street, Brisbane City, on May 12-15th, 2013.
2006 UQ Alumnus of the year, Nick Earls, a popular Brisbane novelist, is a graduate of the University of Queensland’s Mayne Medical School and is the author of several bestselling novels including ZigZag Street, the Fix and Bachelor Kisses.
Many of his books have been successfully adapted for the stage and screen, however this is the first theatrical adaptation of his 2001 book, World of Chickens.
